Why did you choose Avalanche+®?
Remco van der Arend: “Avalanche+® is known for its fabulous bloom. The bud really does always open fully, it is an amazing feature. The rose also has notably few thorns, so it is easy to work with in the production department, but also pleasant for the florists who arrange our roses.”

What do you think when you step into the greenhouse in the morning?
“I never get bored of that sea of white buds. It’s always a great start to the day.”

Who did you last cut Avalanche+® roses for yourself?
“Both I and my staff regularly take some roses home. There’s nothing better than to see the appreciation of loved ones for the craftsmanship that been invested in it and the quality this produces.”

How do you most enjoy seeing your roses used?
“It’s always exciting to see how florists use them. I think that Avalanche+® looks wonderful in mono bouquets, but the rose also works very well with seasonal flowers. It really is an year-round showstopper. I always recognise the roses from quite a distance instantly.”

What is your best Avalanche+® moment?
“The waterborne flower parade is a big event in the Netherlands. Arend Roses’s boat was the grand finale. When I saw that, with all those fabulous Avalanche+® roses on it, I was very proud of the roses and everyone who had worked so hard to make them look so beautiful.”
